I would like to share forty years of travel and photography with you. For my young photography friends, I have some advice on some very elementary aspects of photography. I offer my fellow travellers and would-be travellers suggestions for places to visit, easy travel, and saving your travel memories.
I scan the negatives and slides I shot many years ago with film scanners. I shoot digital with Pentax and Canon DSLR's, saving the original images and my film scans to CD and DVD for revisiting and sharing.
Photography is an on-going learning process, consisting of problem-solving and refinement of technique. My current project is learning RAW processing, refining the total information my digital camera returns, by tweaking exposure, contrast, and color balance to my liking.
